Leading Mall Adds Tech-backed Operational Efficiency to its Cart
End-to-end optimisation of operations for a popular mall.
The Challenge
This leading mall sought to optimise the management of temperature, HVAC, and energy components throughout their building. They wanted to achieve consistent ambient temperature to ensure exceptional customer comfort. By keeping temperature fluctuations in check, they also aimed to minimise dumping rates and reduce inventory wastage. Additionally, they also wanted to work on lowering operational costs and boosting overall efficiency by reducing peak energy consumption.
The Solution
AOne™, our IoT-based smart solution, focussed on HVAC optimisation and energy and refrigeration monitoring to help the mall overcome its challenges. We integrated our HVAC monitoring system into the mall’s existing BMS. The real-time data and analysis of the AHU and chiller systems facilitated effective HVAC control and optimisation. Through this, we were also able to bring consistency in the utilisation of chiller units at optimal levels and reduce energy consumption.
Next, we focussed on energy efficiency. Through the AOne™ energy monitoring solution, we were able to maintain peak energy consumption within the target range of 2300 units and reduce frequent power surges. Our refrigeration monitoring solution ensured temperature compliance across cold rooms and refrigeration units. This allowed for a reduction in inventory loss due to temperature fluctuation. Furthermore, temperature monitoring also enabled adherence to SOPs like ensuring doors were not left open for prolonged periods, which resulted in improved product temperature compliance.
